Senator Christopher Coons Visits Innovation and Technology Center

NEW CASTLE - On Thursday, April 5, United States Senator Christopher Coons visited Delaware Technical Community College’s Innovation and Technology Center (ITC) in New Castle, DE to tour the facility and learn more about the technical training that is available for students.

The 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility accommodates programs such as HVACR, electrical and mechanical technologies, green programs for weatherization, environmental safety, welding, manufacturing technologies, and OSHA safety. Training utilizes a range of learning systems from hands-on to e-learning laboratories to develop job-ready skill sets. Students put theory to practice in classrooms built to mirror the real world.

The programs offered at the ITC are in line with the Senator’s priority of getting Delawareans back to work. For more information visit the Innovation and Technology Center webpage.
