Gourmet Gala Raises Funds for Delaware Tech Students

DOVER - Over 400 people attended the tenth annual Gourmet Gala scholarship fundraiser, held October 19th at Delaware Tech’s Terry Campus. The annual black tie-optional event offers guests specialties from Delaware’s finest restaurateurs, breweries and vintners, who donate their culinary cuisine and time to help fill the unmet financial needs of Terry Campus students. Scholarship funds were also raised from ticket sales, advertising and sponsorships.  Funds raised through this event help many students in Delaware realize their dream of attaining a college education.

This year’s Gourmet Gala featured live music by Dover-area dance band Mike Hines and the Look, and a silent auction with more than 100 unique gift items. Over 30 local restaurants, wineries and breweries prepared food for the event. Well-known set designer Eddy Seger, a Dover resident, once again designed the elegant setting for this year’s gala. Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of the winner of a luxury weekend for two in New York City.
