Delaware Tech to Honor Vietnam Era Veterans on 11/11

The College will hold “Welcome Home” programs at all campus locations on Veteran’s Day – November 11. Each year Delaware Tech hosts programs to honor veterans – this year, in partnership with the United States Department of Defense’s (USDOD) Vietnam War Commemoration the College is honoring veterans of the Vietnam War.

The goal of the USDOD’s Vietnam War Commemoration is to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, and their families, for their service and sacrifice.

Veterans of the Vietnam War are encouraged to attend as honored guests. All veterans, active military and their families are welcome to attend. Activities are open to the public.

Posting of the Colors by Dover Air Force Base Honor Guard, National Anthem, presentation of Vietnam Commemorative flag (Outside at flag pole), POW/MIA Remembrance (refreshments)
Noon-2:00 p.m.
Free showing of Good Morning Vietnam, Downes Lecture Hall

7:30-9:15 a.m.
Posting of the Colors, National Anthem, “Views from the Vietnam War”, panel discussion and presentation of Vietnam Commemorative flag (breakfast)
