Delaware Tech Highlights Job Skills Training at City of Wilmington Press Conference

WILMINGTON – Delaware Technical Community College’s workforce training was highlighted at a news conference to promote getting Wilmingtonians back to work. The news conference was hosted by Wilmington City Council Member Darius Brown on December 12, 2013 at the City Hall building in Wilmington. Brown was joined at the news conference by Council President Theo Gregory and Council Member At-Large Michael A. Brown, Sr.

Brown said he urges job seekers to learn new skills or hone their existing skills to gain an edge in the job market. Paul T. Morris, Jr., Director of Corporate and Community Programs at Delaware Tech’s Stanton/Wilmington Campus talked about the short-term workforce training offered by the continuing education side of Delaware Tech. “We offer training in high-demand fields such as healthcare, education and technical trades,” said Morris.
