Delaware Tech Students Awarded Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation Scholarships

DOVER - Two Delaware Tech criminal justice majors from the Terry Campus were recently awarded $500 scholarships by the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation for essays highlighting the latest technological advances in policing.

Maggie Maniscalo and Kody Frye each wrote an essay on local and national police technology. The essays were reviewed by an education committee headed by Mike Terranova, the chair of the Criminal Justice/Social Services departments at Delaware Tech’s Stanton Campus.

“It’s very rewarding and refreshing because it means we have students who want to go above and beyond for their education,” Terranova said.

Founded in 1983, the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation is a non-profit organization working to increase public awareness, involvement and support for the activities of the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Council. Learn more at
