Four Delaware Tech Softball Players Earn All-Region Honors

Delaware Technical Community College's softball team came up just a little short in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Tournament, but the team did have four players earn NJCAA All-Region honors.
Sophomore Madison McGee earned NJCAA First Team All-Region honors, while sophomore Megan Fry and freshmen McKenna Browning and Sydney Tyndall earned NJCAA Second Team All-Region honors.
McGee, from Dagsboro, an Indian River High School graduate, led the team in batting with a .449 average and 35 hits, while adding 15 RBI. She also flawlessly played a new position, centerfield, where she had a .953 fielding percentage.
Fry, from Milford, a graduate of Milford High School, also had a phenomenal statistical year, batting .420 with 29 hits and 30 RBI, including two home runs.
Browning, from Easton, Md., a graduate of St. Michael's High School, was the starting pitcher and secured four of the team’s 12 wins with a 3.57 ERA and 40 strikeouts.
Tyndall, from Seaford, a graduate of Delmar High School, had a solid first season at the plate, batting .472 with 26 hits and 23 RBI. She also played a solid first base, where she had a .989 fielding percentage.
