"Teal Tea Time" Sexual Assault Awareness Workshop Held in Dover

As part of the College's ongoing efforts to create awareness about sexual assault and sexual violence, the Terry Campus in Dover held a Teal Tea Time event on September 24, 2019. The workshop was designed to bring awareness, education, and resources on sexual violence to students, faculty, and staff.
The program consisted of serving tea and specialty foods, the showing of the "Tea and Consent" video, and an ensuing panel discussion involving Dawn Culp, Bayhealth forensic nurse clinical coordinator, and Nancy McGee, coordinator for the Sexual Assault Network of Delaware. Culp and McGee shared national and state statistics, pertinent Delaware laws, and described in detail the process that takes place after an individual is sexually assaulted.
John Slank, chief of public safety, concluded the program by informing attendees of the resources Delaware Tech has in place to advocate and protect its students.
