Meet The September and October Athlete Spotlight Students

Delaware Tech offers a variety of sports available to students at all campuses, and is proud of the student-athletes that represent the College. Athlete Spotlight includes academic performance, athletic performance, sportsmanship, and service in the community. It is a cumulative honor that focuses on the student-athlete rather than the athlete only. Each week the student-athlete is honored on the Delaware Tech Athletics Instagram account.
Joe Volk
Joe Volk is a member of the men's cross country team, an environmental engineering major, and a graduate of Hodgson Vo-Tech. Volk's hard work and dedication allowed him to start the season strong and gradually improve as the season went along. He has been Delaware Tech's leading male runner in every race this season.
Isabella Denk
Isabella Denk is a member of the women's volleyball team, a nursing major, and a graduate of Red Lion Christian Academy. Denk is a leader on the court and in the classroom and is an all-around team player. She consistently contributes to the success and morale of the team, and her love for the sport shows in her willingness to play whatever position is best for the team.
Elizabeth Masci
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Masci is a member of the women's cross country team, a general studies major, and a graduate of Padua Academy. Masci has been the fastest runner on the women's team for most of the season and has improved her fastest 5k time by nearly five minutes. She has continued to train hard and puts in the work with a smile on her face.
Stephen Culver
Stephen Culver is a member of the men's cross country team, a computing & information science major, and a graduate of Lake Forest High School. Culver has worked hard day in and day out, putting in intervals and long runs to drastically lower his 8k race time. He improved his fastest time by just over three minutes, and his coaches feel that the sky is the limit for Culver if he continues to train and improve.
Taylor Wright
Taylor Wright is a member of the women's volleyball team, a nursing major, and a graduate of Red Lion Christian Academy. As the only member of the team with previous collegiate volleyball experience, Wright has been a valuable contributor throughout the season.
