Meet the November Athlete Spotlight Students

Delaware Tech offers a variety of sports available to students at all campuses, and is proud of the student-athletes that represent the College. Athlete Spotlight includes academic performance, athletic performance, sportsmanship, and service in the community. It is a cumulative honor that focuses on the student-athlete rather than the athlete only. Each week the student-athlete is honored on the Delaware Tech Athletics Instagram account.
Kaitlyn Cavallucci
Kaitlyn Cavallucci is a member of the women’s cross country team, a production agriculture major, and a graduate of Sussex Tech High School. Cavallucci spent most of her first season overcoming lower leg injuries, but was committed to her rehab and training. She also joined the team for meets to cheer on all of her fellow runners. In just her second race of the season, Cavallucci won the 2021 Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference women’s 5k race with a time of 22:15. One week later, she finished third overall at the 2021 NJCAA Region 19 Cross Country Championship meet to qualify for the 2021 NJCAA National Championship Meet.
Izaiah Credle
Izaiah Credle is a member of the men's basketball team, a human services major, and a graduate of Smyrna High School. Credle is averaging 18 points per game, and has been a leader for the team on and off the court. Head coach Richard Rago said Credle was instrumental in leading basketball workouts during the pandemic, and has remained a leader throughout this season. "Izaiah is an aggressive and tenacious offensive player who can shoot the long-distance 3-pointer," Rago said. "I truly expect him to be a major part of a successful season."
Destiny Kirkaldy-Williams
Destiny Kirkaldy-Williams is a member of the women's basketball team, an early childhood education major, and a graduate of Freire Charter School. Kirkaldy-Williams has been waiting since 2019 to play a collegiate basketball game, and fittingly scored the first points in Delaware Tech's 2021-2022 season. "One word I would use to describe Destiny is hustler," Head Coach Megan Fox said. "Not only does she work a full-time job outside of school, she is also a stellar student who works hard in practice every day. Destiny leads by example and is dedicated to the Delaware Tech mission."
