Four Cross Country Runners Earn All-Region Honors

The 2021 cross country season didn't start the way Kaitlyn Cavallucci wanted, but it definitely ended almost perfectly.
After spending most of the season battling lower leg injuries that kept her out of competition, Cavallucci made the most of her season by winning the Women's Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship Meet, and finishing in third place overall at the 2021 NJCAA Region 19 Championship Meet to earn all-region honors and qualify for the national meet.
At the national meet, Cavallucci ran her season-best 5k time of 21:54.
Joining Cavallucci in receiving all-region honors was Lizzy Masci, who placed seventh overall at the region meet in a time of 31:28. Masci was unable to compete at the national meet to do a scheduling conflict.
On the men's side, Joe Volk continued his season-long streak of being Delaware Tech's fastest male runner. He finished third overall in a time of 31:57 at the 2021 NJCAA Region 19 Championship Meet to earn all-region honors and qualify for the national meet, where he ran an 8k in 30 minutes even.
Volk was joined by Jacob Gordon, who got stronger as the season went on and continued to lower his 8k times. Gordon placed sixth overall in the region meet in a time of 34:05 to earn all-region honors, and finished the national meet in a time of 34:39.
