Dover

Diane F. Glenn is the victim services coordinator for the Dover Police Department and an alumna of Delaware Technical Community College. She is also a member of the College’s Board of Trustees. A licensed social worker, she began her criminal justice career in 1989 as a criminal justice specialist for the Delaware Council on Crime and Justice, where she provided grievance department oversight on inmate-related issues and concerns within the correctional setting. Ms. Glenn then joined the Dover Police Department and established its Victim Services Unit. As the Department’s victim services coordinator, she provides crime victims and their family members with crisis support and services to help them in the aftermath of their victimization. In addition, she trains new police officers, and provides community groups and organizations with information on personal safety and the impact of crime, among other topics.

Dedicating nearly 32 years of service with the Delaware State Police (DSP), Retired Colonel Nathaniel McQueen, Jr. was appointed by Governor John Carney to serve as Secretary for the Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security (DSHS) on July 13, 2020. Secretary McQueen's strong leadership skills, ability to connect with staff, legislators, and the communities he serves, are assets while he continues to build on the trust created between law enforcement agencies and the community. He is committed to progress and his steadfast leadership through challenging times will guide his vision for DSHS. Secretary McQueen graduated from Delaware Tech before he went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

A visionary and collaborative health care leader, Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH, has served as president and CEO of Christiana Care since 2014. She is nationally recognized as a pioneer and thought leader in value-based care and population health, and for her assertion that truly great health care is built on the values of love and excellence. Modern Healthcare selected Dr. Nevin as one of its 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in 2020, 2021 and 2022, in addition to naming her to the publication’s Top 25 Women Leaders in 2019 and 2022. The Philadelphia Business Journal included her in its 2022 Power 100, a list of the region’s most influential leaders, and named her one of its 2022 Most Admired CEOs. Dr. Nevin also has been inducted into the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame and was recognized among 100 Great Healthcare Leaders to Know in 2018 by Becker’s Hospital Review.
