The Fashion Show was established to fund study abroad scholarships and support the Global Understanding programs. Sue Saliba, Delaware Tech alumnus, college trustee, and member of the Owens Campus Development Council, recognized a need for students to acquire an international outlook and the skills that will provide them with a competitive edge in the job market, higher education, or simply to work and live in a culturally diverse world. A native of Senegal, West Africa and fluent in four languages, Sue has had the good fortune to travel and visit other countries, as well as experience first-hand how enriching an experience that can be. It was her intent to provide an avenue for funds that would enable Owens Campus students to enjoy the same opportunity. Delaware Tech offers international education/study abroad programs in many countries as diverse as Costa Rica, France, Belize, Japan, England, Ireland and Denmark.
