DOVER - Heather Patosky of Dover has been named the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce’s Communications Coordinator. Patosky – a graduate of Delaware Tech and SEED scholarship recipient – transitioned her internship with the CDCC into a full-time position. She interned with the chamber while earning associate degrees in general business and marketing from Delaware Tech. Full Story

Not long after Ryan Phifer graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in marketing, he realized that the field was not for him. He decided to go back to school to study something that would allow him to work outside, be active and use his mind. He explored the options available at Delaware Tech and came upon Civil Engineering Technology, which seemed to meet his requirements. Full Story

GEORGETOWN – Start celebrating Cinco de Mayo 2013 at Delaware Tech on Saturday, May 4 with 3rd Annual Roady 5K run/walk. The event will take place at the pavilion near the Student Services Center at the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown. Full Story

GEORGETOWN - The 2013 Women’s Day Celebration originally scheduled for March 6 that was postponed due to bad weather has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 15. The annual event, which is presented by Delaware Tech and the Owens Campus Alumni Association, highlights the achievements of exemplary women and benefits the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. GEORGETOWN - On, Thursday, May 12th, Holly Hines, President and Sarah Burr, Vice President of the Student Government Association presented a $3,000 check to Dr. Ileana Smith and Dr. Ann Del Negro at the Celebration of Student Life. The gift was made from the proceeds from the 1st Roady 5K that was hosted by the students and alumni on Saturday, May 7th. Full Story
