DOVER - The Terry Campus Alpha Beta Kappa Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa national honor society received several recognitions of excellence at the Mini Honors and Regional Convention, held Feb. 28 to March 2 in Baltimore. Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in the U.S. for two-year colleges, with more than 2.5 million members and 1,280 chapters worldwide. Full Story

DOVER - Delaware Tech’s Upward Bound program held its annual TRIO Day Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 23. Nine Upward Bound alumni came back for this year’s TRIO Day to share their experiences and offer tips and advice to current Upward Bound students and parents. Full Story

DOVER – Delaware Tech’s Nursing Department at the Terry Campus was awarded a $162,000 grant to support the expansion of the nursing skills laboratory to include a separate simulation lab. The grant is funded through Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware’s “BluePrints for the Community” grant program. Full Story

DOVER – Head Coach Cindy Savage will start her second volleyball season at Delaware Tech with two high-powered additions to the roster: Samantha Immediato of Middletown (St. George’s Technical High School) and Samantha Pedicone of Wilmington (A.I. Dupont High School). Both girls were Delaware All-State players. Full Story

DOVER – Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus received a grant of $2,500 from the Klein Foundation, which provides funding for scholarships to full or part-time students in the Entrepreneurship degree or certificate programs. Full Story
