DOVER – One of the many challenges facing military families is finding employment close to home so they can stay near their communities and close to their children. This summer, Discover Bank and Delaware Tech began a partnership to offer the Work-at-Home Jobs Program for Dover Air Force Base military families. DOVER - “Delaware Tech has a women’s cross country team? I didn’t know that!” Unfortunately, this type of comment was heard over-and-over by the coaching staff at the Terry Campus. DOVER - Cape Henlopen High School Senior Kadijah Doughty had earned 12 Varsity Letters, but had not yet started thinking about college. Then she met Delaware Tech Volleyball Coach Cindy Savage at a senior all-star volleyball match last November, and the coach was way ahead of her. Full Story

DOVER – Owning your own business takes more than big dreams. Students at Delaware Tech who pursue a degree in entrepreneurship know that a successful business starts with a strong plan. Four Entrepreneurship candidates for graduation who hope to own their own businesses presented their business plans to a panel of Kent County-area judges in May. Full Story

DOVER — Senator Tom Carper was briefed on early childhood best practices and procedures at Delaware Tech’s Child Development Center May 3. The Center is a teaching site for Delaware Tech Early Childhood Education majors. It is a STAR Level 5 facility, meaning it has achieved the highest level awarded by the Delaware Stars for Early Success quality rating and improvement system. Full Story
