The Learning Communities collegewide leadership team held the 2016 Learning Communities Summer Institute July 25-28 at the Terry Campus in Dover. This was the fifth annual 30-hour training for new learning community instructors.
STANTON - On May 1, 2015, Delaware Tech hosted the 2015 Collegewide Business Plan Competition. It was the first time the event has involved students from Entrepreneurship Technology programs from across the College. A lucky 13 students competed in the program’s capstone project of presenting a business plan in a judged competition.
GEORGETOWN– Being a repeat champion in sports is never easy. Despite another phenomenal season, the Delaware Technical Community College Owens Campus Lady Roadrunners softball team found that out this year as their season came to an end with a stellar 24-4 record, but not a return trip to the NJCAA Division II National Championship.
Recently, Governor Jack Markell announced grant funding to 15 high schools to support Delaware students as part of the Pathways to Prosperity initiative.

DOVER - Eight Delaware Tech Terry Campus men’s lacrosse players were selected to NJCAA Region XIX 2015 All-Region teams, capping a tremendous season for the program. The Hawks finished 10-6 overall, attained their first ever national ranking, won the league’s regular season title and advanced to the league’s championship game.
DOVER - Terry Campus culinary arts student Erin Esken was recently presented the ‘Cutting Edge’ award, the program’s most prestigious accolade. The award is based upon leadership and academics, among other factors.
DOVER - The Delaware Tech Terry Campus surgical technology program recently was honored with a 2014 Galaxy Star Award from the Association of Surgical Technologists.
DOVER - In celebration of Earth Day 2015, Delaware Tech announces achievement of an ambitious goal to significantly reduce its carbon emissions. In 2010, on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, the College announced a comprehensive, strategic plan to reduce its carbon footprint by 20% by 2020.
WILMINGTON - Congratulations to Vernell Brown for being selected as a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) 2015 Guistwhite Scholarship recipient. Vernell was one of only 15 PTK honor society members nationwide to receive this award.
