On June 20, 2016, Delaware Tech’s Board of Trustees awarded the Paul K. Weatherly Award to Senator Harris B. McDowell, III for his strong support of the College’s mission, goals and students.
Delaware Technical Community College announced today that Dr. Mark T. Brainard has been named the college’s fifth president, effective August 4, 2014. He succeeds Dr. Orlando J. George, Jr. who retired on June 30 after serving 19 years as president of the college.
On June 9, a tribute event in honor of retiring Delaware Technical Community College President Dr. Orlando J. George, Jr. netted $154,378 for student scholarships. The event, held at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, celebrated Dr. George’s 45 years of service to the College.

GEORGETOWN – Delaware Rural Water Association’s Robert Slater, of Bridgeville, was named the 2013 Water Operator of the Year, and the City of Seaford’s Brian Murphy, of Seaford, was named the 2013 Wastewater Operator of the Year at the 2014 Operator of the Year Ceremony on May 8 at Delaware Technical Community College’s Owens Campus.

NEWARK – The Delaware Tech women’s basketball team at the Stanton/Wilmington Campus has made strides toward building an exciting team for the 2014-2015 season with six Delaware high school grads signing letters of intent recently.
