DOVER – One of the many challenges facing military families is finding employment close to home so they can stay near their communities and close to their children. This summer, Discover Bank and Delaware Tech began a partnership to offer the Work-at-Home Jobs Program for Dover Air Force Base military families. DOVER – Owning your own business takes more than big dreams. Students at Delaware Tech who pursue a degree in entrepreneurship know that a successful business starts with a strong plan. Four Entrepreneurship candidates for graduation who hope to own their own businesses presented their business plans to a panel of Kent County-area judges in May. Full Story

Short honored as On-Site Professional of the Year Georgetown – The Town of Delmar’s Robert Windsor, of Delmar, was named the 2012 Water Operator of the Year and Sussex County Engineering’s Ann F. Hobbs, of Frankford, was named the 2012 Wastewater Operator of the Year at the 2013 Operator of the Year Ceremony on May 2 at Delaware Technical Community College’s Owens Campus. Full Story
