WILMINGTON - Delaware Technical Community College’s Stanton/Wilmington Campus honored Margaret (Margie) Rivera for her commitment to the Hispanic community and culture in Northern Delaware at its 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration and Induction Ceremony on October 18, 2013.
The College will hold “Welcome Home” programs at all campus locations on Veteran’s Day – November 11. Each year Delaware Tech hosts programs to honor veterans – this year, in partnership with the United States Department of Defense’s (USDOD) Vietnam War Commemoration the College is honoring veterans of the Vietnam War.

DOVER – To say the Delaware Tech Lady Hawks soared through this season would be an understatement. The Women’s Volleyball team claimed the 2013 Region XIX Division II Volleyball title with a 3-0 victory over the County College of Morris on Saturday, October 26 at Lackawanna College.
DOVER - Over 400 people attended the tenth annual Gourmet Gala scholarship fundraiser, held October 19th at Delaware Tech’s Terry Campus. The annual black tie-optional event offers guests specialties from Delaware’s finest restaurateurs, breweries and vintners, who donate their culinary cuisine and time to help fill the unmet financial needs of Terry Campus students.
STANTON – On September 26, Delaware Tech’s new cross country coach, Jim Fischer, received an Alumni Excellence in Coaching award during Augsburg College’s Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony. Fischer is a 1970 alumnus of Augsburg College, which is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
WILMINGTON - On Saturday, October 12, 2013, Delaware Tech’s Stanton/Wilmington Campus hosted its 3rd annual Flavors of the World International Food and Wine Tasting event. The event showcased international cuisine prepared by the Delaware Tech Culinary Arts and Food Service Management Departments, as well as beer and wine.
Delaware Tech celebrated National Manufacturing Day on October 4 by sponsoring workshops on campus and tours of local manufacturing businesses for students studying engineering technology, electromechanical, construction management, biomedical and computer information systems at the College.
