DOVER - The Terry Campus Workforce Development and Community Education division held a November 13, 2015, graduation ceremony for 15 individuals who successfully completed the College’s State Constable Academy.
DOVER - Students in the Terry Campus criminal justice and homeland security programs recently had the opportunity to participate in an emergency response drill conducted by the Dover Police Department.
DOVER – Students, faculty and staff from the Terry Campus collected 2,300 non-perishable items for DART’s 18th annual “Stuff The Bus” Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Food Bank of Delaware.
NEWARK – Six students from the Law Enforcement Option (LEO) program in the Criminal Justice Department at Delaware Tech’s Stanton/Wilmington Campus are gaining real-world work experience by participating in an innovative new program created by Executive Vice President Mark T. Brainard when he was Vice President and Campus Director at the Stanton/Wilmington Campus.
DOVER – The Terry Campus of Delaware Technical Community College hosted the formation of the Delaware State Assembly of the Association of Surgical Technologists on Saturday September 7, 2013. A milestone for Surgical Technologists in Delaware, the association provides a platform for Delaware’s Surgical Technologists to be recognized as professionals.
STANTON – On September 5, 2013, Delaware Tech students, faculty and administrators gathered at the Stanton Campus to celebrate a milestone in the Nursing Wing Expansion Project which began in April. The campus community had the opportunity to add their signatures to the ceremonial final steel beam of the structure in a “topping out” ceremony.
GEORGETOWN – Community leaders, educators, businesspeople and elected officials will join together to raise public awareness regarding current economic issues at the 20th Anniversary Sussex County Today & Tomorrow Conference. The event will be hosted on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 7:15 a.m.
STANTON - According to Dr. Thomas Hanson, a University of Delaware Associate Professor of Marine Biology and Biochemistry, undergraduate research is vital to producing highly trained scientists to work in Delaware.
STANTON - When a group of Delaware Tech campers arrived at the Stanton Campus on a rainy Thursday in August, they did not know that their day’s activities would include attempting to beat a Guinness World Record.
DOVER - Delaware Technical Community College Energy Management Instructor, Ken Mecham, recently presented at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) bi-annual Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Industry.
STANTON – One of the highlights of Ojong Bate’s studies at Delaware Tech was her participation in the Stanton Campus’s undergraduate research program. Although she graduated in May, she has continued on the path she set out on at Delaware Tech through an INBRE summer research internship.
DOVER – One of the many challenges facing military families is finding employment close to home so they can stay near their communities and close to their children. This summer, Discover Bank and Delaware Tech began a partnership to offer the Work-at-Home Jobs Program for Dover Air Force Base military families. The program offers flexibility to family members in where and how they work.
GEORGETOWN – During the summer 13 adjunct faculty members of the Environmental Training Center at the Owens Campus completed the National Environmental Safety and Health Training Association’ s (NESHTA) course on Delivering and Designing Effective Training.
