As the nation celebrated National Volunteer Week in April, Delaware Technical Community College continues to celebrate its year-long 50th anniversary through volunteerism – “Delivering Excellence, Changing Lives” through service to others.

STANTON/WILMINGTON - On Friday, February 7, 2014, Delaware Technical Community College’s Dental Health Center, located at the College’s Wilmington Campus, hosted Give Kids a Smile, a national program that provides free dental care to children from low-income families.
WILMINGTON – On February 6, 2014, the Delaware Air National Guard recognized members of Delaware Technical Community College at a ceremony at the New Castle Air Base.
After 45 years of service to Delaware Technical Community College, Dr. Orlando J. George, Jr. announced his intention to step down as president and retire on June 30, 2014.
A learning community is a combination of courses linked together around a common topic or theme with assignments that cut across courses. Students enrolled in the learning community all take the linked courses together – creating a community of learners.
STANTON/WILMINGTON - The group was led by Robert S. Weis, Program Coordinator of the Chemical Process Operator Program at Delaware Tech. Weis said the tour reinforced the technologies that the students were exposed to in class.
WILMINGTON – Delaware Technical Community College’s workforce training was highlighted at a news conference to promote getting Wilmingtonians back to work. The news conference was hosted by Wilmington City Council Member Darius Brown on December 12, 2013 at the City Hall building in Wilmington.
STANTON - Three Delaware Tech criminal justice majors from the Stanton Campus were recently awarded $500 scholarships by the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation for essays highlighting the latest technological advances in policing.
