STANTON - The National Fire Protection Association recognizes October 5 – 11, 2014 as Fire Prevention Week, and this year they are encouraging consumers to test smoke alarms each month. At Delaware Tech, this testing happens on a larger scale, as students in the College’s Fire Protection Engineering Technology (FET) program learn about fire protection from a more global perspective. DELAWARE – Delaware Technical Community College, The Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP) and the Delaware Manufacturing Association (DMA) came together in response to Governor Jack Markell’s proclamation of Delaware Manufacturing Week (Sept. 29-Oct 3), which coincided with National Manufacturing Day, October 3. GEORGETOWN – This year, the Owens Campus made Sept. 11 not only a day of remembrance, but a day to help raise funds for a veteran to attend college.The inaugural Run, White & Blue 5K took place Thursday, Sept. 11, and raised over $5,000. The proceeds benefited a veteran scholarship to attend the Owens Campus. Full Story
