Flags were flown at the Georgetown and Dover locations of Delaware Tech through June 1 in honor of our military, first responders and other heroes who serve our country or community and make a difference in the lives of others. “Flags for Heroes,” now in its second year, is a partnership with the College and the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club and the Capital City Rotary Club. On Monday, March 2, Delaware Tech partnered with United Way of Delaware to host National Read across America Day at all campus locations. The annual event is held in March in honor of children’s book author Dr. Seuss, whose birthdate is March 2, 1904. Georgetown – Commercial Transportation Department Chairperson Chris Antonik and students Brandon Thompson of Delmar, and Joann Abraham of Milford, hit the road bright and early Dec. 10 as part of Wreaths Across America. They will be delivering wreaths to seven cemeteries throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Full Story
