WILMINGTON – On February 6, 2014, the Delaware Air National Guard recognized members of Delaware Technical Community College at a ceremony at the New Castle Air Base. The ceremony celebrated the successful partnership between Delaware Tech and the 166th Airlift Wing to offer classes at the Delaware Air National Guard during hours convenient for guardsmen. STANTON/WILMINGTON - Wilfred A. Oney, Jr., an academic counselor and veterans affairs coordinator at Delaware Tech’s Stanton/Wilmington Campus, was named to the National Association of Veterans Program Administrators (NAVPA) board of directors as Education Committee Chair and Region II Delegate last month. STANTON/WILMINGTON - The group was led by Robert S. Weis, Program Coordinator of the Chemical Process Operator Program at Delaware Tech. Weis said the tour reinforced the technologies that the students were exposed to in class. “The students were very impressed with the tour, and were all eager to learn more about job possibilities at the refinery,” said Weis. Men’s basketball guard Larry Woody (Howard High School of Technology, Bear, DE) scorched Burlington County College for 33 points on 11 three-pointers in a win last week, earning him the Delaware Technical Community College athlete of the week award. Full Story
