Associate Degree Program
The Associates of Arts in Teaching degree in Elementary Education will prepare you to apply to Delaware Tech's Bachelor of Science in Education degree or transfer to another four-year college or university to become certified to teach in grades K-6.
A focus on educational strategies is an important aspect of our program. You will also have the opportunity to interact with children in a classroom setting through observation and service learning experiences. When you graduate, you will have learned instructional strategies that support the Delaware common core standards for reading, writing, and mathematics.
This program is offered at the Dover, Georgetown, and Wilmington campuses.

This is a Connected Degree program, which enables our graduates to apply to Delaware Tech's Bachelor of Science in Education program or transfer as juniors to our partner four-year institutions in the region, offering a smooth transition to working toward a bachelor’s degree.
