Associate Degree Program

In the modern global marketplace, a solid base of business knowledge can be applied to a diversity of careers, and Delaware Tech’s General Business program provides an excellent means of exploring the many career paths associated with business. It provides you with the fundamentals of business operations with an emphasis on both practical functions and theoretical aspects of business organizations. This blending of knowledge and skills enables you to meet your individual employment goals and educational needs and is designed to assist you in obtaining entry-level job skills and the credentials necessary for advancement. The knowledge you gain from this program will prepare you for opportunities in government; nonprofit organizations; and small, medium and large private businesses.

This program is offered at the Dover, Georgetown and Wilmington Campuses.

Core Curriculum Competencies

The Core Curriculum Competencies listed below identify what you, as an associate degree graduate, will be able to do upon completion of your degree, regardless of your major. You will acquire these core competencies through your general education courses (i.e. English, math, etc.) and your program of study courses.

  3. Work effectively in groups of people from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Demonstrate ethical and professional understanding and conduct.
