Laser and Optics Studies
If you want to enhance your employment prospects in a career involving engineering or science technology, you should consider the Laser and Optic Studies Diploma. Lasers are optical devices that emit an extremely intense beam of energy in the form of light. They are highly versatile and have become prevalent in fields such as electronics, medicine, defense, dentistry, chemistry, computers, and entertainment. Fiber optics is the technology of sending information in the form of light through fine strands of transparent material. It is replacing conventional systems in virtually every industry. This 34 credit-hour diploma is offered by the Mathematics/Physics Department of the College.
This specialization allows students who already have degrees in engineering or science technologies to move into the laser and fiber optics field.
