YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Accounting provides students with core accounting, business, and general education courses as well as information technology and communication skills to prepare them for entry-level technical and professional careers in industry, in local, state, and federal government, and in public accounting. Additionally, students are prepared to continue their education at the baccalaureate level.

Wilmington University's Bachelor of Science degree program in Accounting offers a curriculum that will provide basic accounting theory with an emphasis on developing analytical skills and technological competency. Classes taught by experienced certified public accountants and other professionals in the field will address both theoretical and practical issues to enhance employment opportunities in today's accounting environment. This program prepares students for entry into careers in public, private, or governmental accounting.

*Program Electives (2 Required): Select from ACC 212, ACC 222, ENG 124, FIN 221, or MIS 220. ACC 212 is recommended as a program elective. **BAC 302 and BAC 322 are required courses for Wilmington University's bachelor's degree program in Accounting. Wilmington University will accept BAC 302 or BAC 322, but not both. Students who take the equivalent course for BAC 302 or BAC 322 as part of their associate degree program will take a business elective at the 300/400 level.

The Bachelor of Science program in Accounting requires a minimum of 120 credits.
Course sequencing may vary by semester. See your advisor.
RDG 120, Critical Reading and Thinking, is a required DTCC course unless the student is exempt.
