YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE
Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.
THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM
Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Automotive Technology graduates will be able to perform a variety of preventive maintenance and repair functions on automobiles. Through systematic classroom instruction, completion of required laboratories and structured, mandatory internships, graduates will be able to use printed and electronic information, tools and instruments to diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance procedures. Pennsylvania College of Technology's Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Technology prepares students with the skills necessary to meet current and future needs of the automotive service and manufacturing industries. This major is designed to function as a "two plus two" major, with the students completing the required course work of an applied technology curriculum in either the automotive or collision repair areas for the first four semesters, which enables the student to petition to graduate with the appropriate associate's degree prior to the junior year. The later semesters emphasize skills essential to a management career within the automotive industry, including supervision and personnel management, customer service, sales, problem-solving methods, organization and planning techniques, as well as proficiency in communications and mathematics.
VALUE FOR YOU
By completing your associate degree at Delaware Tech, you'll receive excellent instruction in small classes at a campus close to home. Delaware Tech's affordable tuition can reduce the overall cost of your college education, making the completion of your bachelor's degree more manageable.
