YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Criminal Justice provides career education for employment or career advancement in public and private, criminal justice organizations. Graduates are prepared to practice careers in law enforcement and related services, corrections, counseling and case management. In addition the program provides students the foundation for transfer to public and private institutions to complete the requirements for a bachelor's degree. In Delaware State University's Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree program, students don't merely study from textbooks. They also learn real-world lessons via an outstanding internship program, getting hands-on experience in all aspects of criminal justice. This practical education is paired with a strong academic program that emphasizes writing and critical thinking. Students who earn a criminal justice degree from Delaware State University have an excellent track record of success in the job market and graduate school.

*Students should take this course for transfer to DSU. ^Students may take SPA 137 as a post-associate degree course for transfer to DSU as a foreign language elective. Otherwise the student must take the equivalent at DSU.+Satisfies one-half of the multicultural requirement. ^Satisfies the African-American Experience Across-the-Curriculum requirement.
Some courses in the bachelor's program are also available in accelerated, evening format to accommodate working adults. Students must complete a minimum of 120 credits for the B. A. in Criminal Justice. Course offerings by semester may vary. See your advisor. RDG 120, Critical Reading and Thinking, is a required DTCC course unless the student is exempt.
