THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

The Criminal Justice: Homeland Defense & Emergency Management Option prepares students for entry-level careers with local, state, and federal law enforcement and emergency management agencies as well as corporate organizations. Courses offered provide a basic understanding of the techniques and processes for emergency preparedness, management, response to and recovery from man-made and natural disasters. In addition the program provides students the foundation for transfer to public and private institutions to complete the requirements for a bachelor's degree. Strayer University's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice provides students with the theoretical, legal and operational aspects of criminal justice. Students acquire fundamental (as well as practical and professional) skills in all areas of criminal justice. Graduates are prepared for a variety of positions in the public and private sector including law enforcement, corrections, homeland security, private security, and juvenile justice. Students may tailor their degree to their specific career and educational goals by choosing a concentration such as Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
