Elementary Education

to Elementary Education (Grades K-6)

An opportunity to gain an associate degree from Delaware Tech and a bachelor's degree from Wilmington University.

YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Elementary Education prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor's degree and become certified to teach in an elementary school. Graduates of this option are prepared to enter the workforce immediately as a paraeducator (instructional assistant) in a school setting or they may choose to continue their education and prepare to become a K-6 grade elementary school teacher.

Wilmington University's Bachelor of Science degree program in Elementary Education (Grades K-6) prepares students for teaching positions. This program combines rich and varied course offerings with extensive, supervised field experiences. This program meets standards established by the State of Delaware Department of Education and is nationally recognized by the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

VALUE FOR YOU

By completing your associate degree at Delaware Tech, you'll receive excellent instruction in small classes at a campus close to home. Delaware Tech's affordable tuition can reduce the overall cost of your college education, making the completion of your bachelor's degree more manageable.
