YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's Information Security program addresses local, regional, and national workforce needs following the National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security standards. Students will learn how to build and maintain secure networks, diagnose and resolve vulnerabilities, implement security policies, and manage operating systems. Graduates will be prepared to protect personal and networked computing devices from various kinds of cyber attacks and will be qualified for entry-level positions such as computer network technician, network specialist, computer support specialist, database administrator, and network administrator. Western Governors University's Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) - Security will prepare students interested in starting or advancing careers in IT security with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. This program incorporates 15 recognized industry certifications including Cisco's CCNA Certification that give graduates a tremendous professional advantage. The cost of required certifications is provided at no additional cost to the student. They are covered by the term tuition fee. This online program is flexible and adaptable to the student's schedule. Graduates are prepared to become security managers.

The Bachelor of Science program in Information Technology - Security requires a minimum of 122 credits. Course sequencing may vary by semester. See your advisor. RDG 120, Critical Reading and Thinking, is a required DTCC course unless the student is exempt.
