YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Office Administration: Paralegal Option at the Owens Campus is approved by the American Bar Association. Along with general education courses, the program offers specialized legal courses, with emphasis on the development of highly marketable skills. A legal internship provides work experience to supplement classroom knowledge and applications. Employment opportunities are available in government agencies, the court system, law firms, banks, insurance companies, and other private businesses and corporations.

Wesley College's Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies provides the theoretical and ethical concepts and practical skills, required for a career as a Paralegal and for those students planning to attend law school or other related graduate programs. This program is approved by the American Bar Association. Graduates work in many areas of the legal field including private and public law firms and state and federal agencies. Internships are encouraged. They provide practical work experience. Paralegals are not attorneys, they are not permitted to give legal advice or practice law, and must work under the supervision of an attorney. This degree provides graduates with a firm foundation in the legal field and related fields.
