Physical Therapist Assistant

to Allied Health

An opportunity to gain an associate degree from Delaware Tech and a bachelor's degree from Wilmington University.

YOUR PATH TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

THE CONNECTED DEGREE 2 + 2 CURRICULUM

Delaware Tech's accredited associate degree program in Physical Therapist Assistant prepares students to become licensed health care workers who provide physical therapy services under the supervision and direction of the physical therapist. Students study both on campus and at varied clinical sites in preparation to work directly with patients in need of therapeutic exercises to regain motion and strength after illness or injury. Graduates of the program may be employed by hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practice clinics, home health agencies, as well as other health care organizations. Wilmington University's bachelor's degree completion program in Allied Health is for Allied Health practitioners who have earned an associate degree with an Allied Health concentration. The program enables practitioners to transfer up to 75 credits from their initial education. The goal of the program is to provide expert practitioners in the Allied Health field with the knowledge and skill needed to teach the next generation of Allied Health practitioners or to advance in their careers with a focus in administration.

VALUE FOR YOU

By completing your associate degree at Delaware Tech, you'll receive excellent instruction in small classes at a campus close to home. Delaware Tech's affordable tuition can reduce the overall cost of your college education, making the completion of your bachelor's degree more manageable.
