Michael O'Brian
Head Coach
Michael O’Brian has been coaching at Delaware Tech since 2015 and was named head coach in 2021. O’Brian has been competing in cross country and track and field since 4th grade, and competed for St. Mark’s High School, University of Delaware, and Wilmington University before becoming a coach. O’Brian stays active in the local running community by working with Fusion Race Timing, where he handles marketing and event course management. Previously, he worked for New Balance Delaware hosting running club meetups, visiting local running teams during practice, and scheduling in-store fittings and events. O’Brian has a bachelor’s degree in health services with a minor in advertising from University of Delaware and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in healthcare from Wilmington University. He is currently the director of digital sales and marketing for Catalyst Visuals.
