Delaware Tech is excited to offer FREE Virtual IT training funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. The IT academies are for students (prospective employees) of whom IT employers seek: highly motivated, committed, and driven individuals who are persistent in obtaining the goal. These highly sought-after industry certifications will prepare participants for successful careers in networking, programming, and database management. The cost of the training and the certification exams are FREE for those who meet the eligibility requirements. The program also provides Career Development, Job search, and Placement Assistance.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Currently unemployed or underemployed (not connected to a full-time job). The program has a minimum number of seats reserved for full-time employees.
- A Delaware Resident
- Have an Associate degree and one year of IT work experience or high school diploma and six years of work experience in IT or engineering fields.
- Demonstrate a minimum of a 12th grade reading and math ability
- Possess a social security card and a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
IT Academies Schedule
All courses are delivered on a virtual platform and offered:

The course schedule is based on meeting the required number of enrollments and are subject to change if not met.
In an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the America’s Promise Grant Information Sessions will be offered virtually.
Mandatory Information Sessions (Attend One)
The lunch series will begin 6/29, Noon to 1pm (Lunch Series Zoom URL)
The evening series will begin 7/13, 6 to 7pm (Evening Series Zoom URL)
The academic assessment will be proctored by Tech Impact on the first Wednesday of the month starting July 8th at the Community Services building in Wilmington at 6pm and in the Corporate Training Center on the Terry Campus in Dover at 4pm.
