
Advanced Manufacturing Certificate Training
Delaware Tech is funded through U.S. Department of Labor to offer FREE training in Advanced Manufacturing to current full-time and part-time employees. Full-time employees can apply to train in Advanced Manufacturing-Automation; the unemployed and part-time employees can train to become a Production Technician.

Participants can earn credentials in OSHA 10, forklift, CPR/First Aid and various Manufacturing Skills certificates.
In an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Delaware Tech is postponing all Workforce Development and Community Education information sessions and courses until further notice.
Production Technician Certificate Program
You may be eligible to participate in a FREE Production Technician Certificate Program sponsored by Delaware Tech and the Department of Labor under the America’s Promise Grant.
Qualified individuals will receive 600 hours of training that will include classroom simulations and hands-on skill obtainment. Job placement is also provided. Topics of study include: AC/DC Electrical Systems, PLC’s, Mechanical Drives, Hydraulics, and Pnuematics.
Students will earn certifications in: CPR, Forklift, OSHA 10, and be eligible to take National Manufacturing Skill Standards Council certifications in specialized areas.
The program will take place at Delaware Tech’s Innovation and Technology Partnership Center which is located behind the Woodbridge Middle School in Bridgeville.
Eligibility requirements:
- Candidates must attend an information session
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of documented full-time work experience
- Demonstrate at least an 10th grade math ability (free assessment will be given)
- Possess a Social Security card and valid driver’s license (or state-issued ID)
Schedule
Classes begin June 2020. Attending an information session and registration is necessary.
