Construction Technology Delaware Tech’s new 300-hour Construction Technology program is designed to provide entry-level skills in a variety of Construction Trades. This includes carpentry, masonry, concrete finishing, electrical work, HVAC basics, and plumbing. Participants will become skilled in different phases of a construction project from start to finish. Once completing this program, participants will hold their Nationally recognized OSHA-10 Construction Safety Certification as well as be able to frame walls, ceilings, and floors of a structure, install siding and roofing materials, install and finish drywall, utilize proper painting techniques, mix and install concrete and concrete blocks, interpret construction drawings, and install the proper wiring and piping for basic electrical and plumbing systems.
This class will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5 - 9 p.m., October 4, 2022 - May 2, 2023, and has been made available for FREE to qualified students by a gracious gift from Bank of America. |
