Job Fairs at Delaware Tech

Delaware Tech job fairs provide students and alumni the opportunity to explore career and employment possibilities with local employers and military partners. Job fairs are also an opportunity to grow their networking and interview skills.

Students

Meet with employers to discuss possible career opportunities within the company
Ask employers your questions
Develop a resume and meet with Career Services for a review. Bring plenty of copies of your resume
How will you introduce yourself? Practice your opening pitch to employers
Big Interview: login with your Delaware Tech email to learn and practice your interview skills
Giving an Elevator Pitch
Research participating employers; make a prioritized list of employers you want to meet with
Create a list of relevant questions to ask employers
Wear professional attire
Create a strong Handshake profile and load your resume onto your profile
Set up a Handshake account using a Delaware Tech student or alumni email address
Register for the Virtual Job Fair
In Handshake, schedule your 1:1 and group sessions with the employers you’d like to meet
On the day of the virtual fair:
Log into your Handshake account on your computer, tablet, or phone.
Access the job fair you registered for and find your fair schedule. You can only attend sessions you signed up for.
Click the "Join Video" button 5 minutes before the session begins.
When joining a session with employers, make sure your camera and microphone are turned on, so employers know you are there.

Employers

Registration for each fair will open on February 1, 2023.

All registrations will be processed through Handshake. Each fair has its own separate registration:

Space is limited. Registration will close 2 weeks prior to the event or when the limit has been reached.

There is no cost to attend.

Georgetown Campus:
When: March 23, 2023

Dover Campus:
When: April 13, 2023
Time: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: Del-One Conference Center

Stanton Campus:
When: March 30, 2023
Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Gymnasium

Virtual on Handshake:
