STANTON - Three Delaware Tech criminal justice majors from the Stanton Campus were recently awarded $500 scholarships by the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation for essays highlighting the latest technological advances in policing.
Steven Cowgill, Scott Long and Earl Marchione each chose to study and research local and national police technology and summarized the information in their essays, earning them the scholarship. The essays were reviewed by an education committee, headed by Mike Terranova, the chair of the Criminal Justice/Social Sciences departments at Delaware Tech’s Stanton Campus.
“It’s very rewarding and refreshing because it means we have students who want to go above and beyond for their education,” Terranova said.
