DOVER - On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, Delaware Tech’s Terry Campus Architectural Engineering Technology students, accompanied by Dr. R.J. Chandler Sr., met with the Honorable Mayor Carleton E. Carey Sr. The students discussed with the mayor their upcoming capstone graduation project: the Musical Arts Cultural Center.
The hypothetical capstone project consists of designing a first class multipurpose building that exemplifies luxury, diversity and sustainability. Their building – the Musical Arts Cultural Center (THE MACC) – will be located at the corner of Queen and Loockerman streets in Downtown Dover. Inside The MACC, a Hardrock Café will offer residents of Dover the opportunity to experience city life on a smaller scale with great entertainment and dining.
The finished project will be presented Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the Terry Campus’ Education Technology Building, room 727.
The Architectural Engineering Technology program is also offered at the Georgetown and Stanton campuses.
