Autumn Reed

Autumn Reed has always wanted to further her education and eventually work with animals, so the veterinary technology program at Delaware Tech was the perfect fit. "Delaware Tech provided great financial assistance, and I knew I wouldn't be just another number here."

During her sophomore year of high school, Autumn's father suddenly passed. "He always believed in me and knew I would fulfill my dreams. Nothing can or will change that, even more so now that he is no longer here." Much like her father, animals mean everything to Autumn.

"If you truly want to better yourself, you have to work for it; it starts with you. When you're ready, Delaware Tech offers a lot of resources that work around all types of schedules." Tutoring helped Autumn tremendously when she was struggling with a math course.

After graduation, Autumn plans to pass her boards and become a licensed veterinary technician. "I hope to find a job at a practice that encourages me to grow by teaching me and showing me how to become a better technician."
