Criss Vasquez

Accounting

Criss Vasquez, an accounting major, wants to help her mother grow her business and continue supporting her family in Colombia. "It was so important for me to come to college because it was the first step to start reaching my goals." Before enrolling in the accounting program, she completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Delaware Tech. "All my ESL teachers were so special to me and I am so grateful."

Since coming to Delaware Tech, Criss said she has grown both personally and professionally. "I understand the value of effort; nothing is possible if you don't do your best." She advised students to continue striving to make their dreams come true and take advantage of the resources available at the College.

After graduating from Delaware Tech with her associate degree, Criss wants to become a certified public accountant and help small and mid-size companies grow. "I am planning to open my own business that is focused on always helping others."
