Jeff Melvin

Jeff Melvin, a communications major, came to Delaware Tech to pursue a career in the film industry. "I would like to work for a movie production company in any capacity; I just want to be involved in the making of movies for entertainment."

Since coming to college, Jeff has learned to be "a bit more professional and more self-sufficient." He advised students to get involved in some capacity outside of going to class. "I have found that getting and staying involved as much as I can helps me to stay connected to my major and constantly try to improve my performance."

Jeff has had many great experiences at Delaware Tech, but his favorite was going to Cape Henlopen State Park with his video production classmates. "It was one of the first times I had come out of my shell and started making friends with other classmates in my major. I still consider many of those people my closest friends here."

After obtaining his associate degree, Jeff would like to utilize his degree and find a job locally. "I'd like to find a way to continue my education to pursue a bachelor's degree in communications while working in the field."
