Lance Miller

Environmental Engineering Technology

Lance Miller wants a career change after working for 15 years, so he decided to come to Delaware Tech to pursue his passion for environmental science. "I took AP environmental science in high school and it was my favorite class. Choosing environmental engineering was a no-brainer for me. I've explored the planet and I want to help protect it, so that future generations can have the same experiences I've had."

Lance began his journey with Delaware Tech a decade ago, but some obstacles were in his way. "Due to the death of my sister and dealing with my own demons, I wasn't able to excel. Now I am ready to finally get my degree." Lance chose Delaware Tech for the flexible schedule options, reputable instructors, and affordable tuition.

Since coming to Delaware Tech, Lance has improved his time management skills. "I set aside several hours a day to do schoolwork and give myself minimum idle time. I am much more responsible now."

Lance advises students to utilize the resources provided to them at the College. "Ask for help when you need it and reach out to other classmates if you're feeling overwhelmed. Study, study, study."

After graduating from Delaware Tech, Lance plans to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor's degree. He would also like to pursue a master's degree. He hopes to work as an atmospheric scientist or a climatologist.
