Michael Nelson

Michael Nelson has always known he wants to help people, and when he saw his mother go through the rehabilitation process, he knew physical therapy was the career field for him.

Since coming to Delaware Tech, Michael noted he has matured. "I have found ways that I can be helpful to those around me even if I don't know them. I also feel the knowledge I have accrued has helped me in my professional journey."

When asked what advice he had for other students, Michael stated: "Believe in yourself and don't let yourself be brought down by negativity. College is a journey for you to not only find yourself but to also learn valuable lessons you can utilize throughout the rest of your life."

After earning his physical therapist assistant degree, Michael plans to further his education so he can earn a doctorate in physical therapy and pursue his dream career.
