Todd Sauer Jr.

Todd Sauer Jr. struggled with addiction for 10 years. He became homeless, and ended up going to jail. "I was a high school dropout and was losing all hope in life. By the grace of God and biblical teaching, I was able to find freedom from my addiction and a newfound purpose in life." He went on to graduate high school at the age of 32 and then started pursuing a college degree.

"I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could help and care for people. After meeting with many of the allied health program directors, I chose respiratory care."

Todd's wife and many of his friends are Delaware Tech alumni and always spoke highly of the College, making his choice to come to Delaware Tech an easy one. "I wanted a personal, uncrowded college experience."

Todd's advice to other students in order to succeed contains just four words: "Pray, listen, watch, and study!"

After graduating from Delaware Tech, Todd would like to begin his career in respiratory therapy at a hospital while simultaneously pursuing a bachelor's degree. He would like to be a respiratory care instructor at the College one day.
